History

In September 1992, the first sign language class began at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church (The Blvd).  During the first session, 80 people enrolled and 60 people completed the class.  What was thought would be a one-time class continued for 8 years and, after a hiatus, has resumed as an annual May class.

On November 28, 1993, the first Sunday worship service was interpreted for the deaf at The Blvd and has continued uninterrupted since.
