About
I am an Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (beginning Fall 2023). My research interests are in applications of ring theory and linear algebra to algebraic coding theory, which explores the mathematical underpinnings of reliable data communication and storage. Currently I am researching decoding algorithms for codes over rings, with a focus on evaluation codes, such as Reed-Solomon codes.
I am an alumnus of the Ohio University Center of Ring Theory and its Applications.
I wrote my dissertation under the direction of Sergio Lopez-Permouth, and my Masters thesis under Ashish Srivastava at Saint Louis University.
