Brief Bio

I am a Senior AI Scientist at Pentas Vision, Sony. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from East China Normal University with First-Class Honors, my M.Eng. in Software Science from Osaka University as a recipient of the Panasonic Scholarship Asia Top Award, and my Ph.D. in Information Systems Engineering from Osaka University under the supervision of Prof. Haruo Takemura, as a recipient of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship.

Prior to joining Sony, I was a Research Scientist with the Vision Group at Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA), led by Prof. Xiaoou Tang, and later a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R), A*STAR, Singapore.

My research interests span computer vision, computer graphics, vision-language models, and generative AI, with a particular focus on learning-based visual perception, computational imaging, and multimodal intelligence.
