BIOGRAPHY
I joined the finance faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2016. My principal research interest is the economic impact of learning, information acquisition, and belief formation. While my approach is primarily theoretical, it is usually driven by, and at times accompanied by, empirical observation and analysis. I am a member of the Finance Theory Group and the Macro Finance Society.
BACKGROUND
I received my PhD from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS and BA from Miami University. Prior to attending Northwestern, I worked as a quantitative fixed income analyst at Neuberger Berman.
TEACHING
I teach the core microeconomics course (MBA 773) in the full-time MBA program and the executive MBA program, as well as a course on corporate finance theory in the PhD program. While at Northwestern, I taught the introductory finance class in the undergraduate economics program (ECON 360-1).
PERSONAL
My wife and I live in Chapel Hill with our three children and a giant yellow Lab.
