Hello, my name is Becky Davis. I'm an associate professor in the economics and finance department at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. I am teaching Applied Statistical Analysis and Energy Economics for the Fall 2024 semester.
My research is primarily focused on energy economics and its place in environmental economics and public policy. Working within these fields has provided me with several tools to answer research questions. Some of these include extensive use of real options analysis in Matlab, applied econometrics in Stata, and optimal control theory.
My teaching interest spans several fields of study in economics. I have had full control and sole responsibility as the instructor for 37 sections of ECON 3339: Applied Statistical Analysis at SFA, 5 sections of ECON 2302: Principles of Microeconomics at SFA, 6 sections of ECON 4360: Energy Economics at SFA, 1 section of ECON 3353: Intermediate Microeconomics at SFA, 1 section of Econ 311: Intermediate Microeconomics at the University of Tennessee, and 1 section of Econ 313: Intermediate Macroeconomics at the University of Tennessee.
