Projects that can be done on school computers
The school computers run the Windows operating system and do not have software development tools installed on them. The PICO-8 tools and "portable" software packages can be added though. Also, one can use a web browser to visit web sites that allow you to write code, create images and compose music.
School computers have the "Paint" program installed.

All students should be able to edit the da Vinci Coders web site, capturing ideas, questions and progress.
Piskel allows you to create pixel art
Sketchup allows you to create 3D models. Make a model of the school!
Sketch.io Sketchpad allows you to easily draw and download without an account, and they are based in Portland
Flockdraw allows you to draw a picture with others, but it uses the Flash player
Bitsy allows you to create a world with sprites and dialogs
The Mbed Compiler can be used to write programs for the Rover or for Freedom development boards.
Scratch is a programming system from MIT that allows you to design code with virtual building blocks.
Trinket allows you to program in Python online.
Studio Sketchpad gives you a JavaScript workspace that you can share with others.
