I am a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development. Previously, I have been the principal economic advisor for the social sector at the Inter-American Development Bank, a visiting professor at the Center for Development Economics at Williams College, and a lead economist at the World Bank. Most of my research falls within the categories of education, health, gender, social protection, early childhood, and impact evaluation. I want good research to inform policy. I have a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University (2005).
