Teaching & mentoring
At DTU, I teach courses in discrete mathematics, graph theory, data science and quantum information. I enjoy finding examples and explanations that make the main idea clear, then working through the reasoning carefully with students.
Regular teaching
Discrete Mathematics I — course coordinator and co-lecturer, since 2021. A colleague and I jointly redesigned the syllabus, assessment, and learning activities.
Graph Theory I — course coordinator and sole lecturer, since 2022.
Computational Tools for Data Science — course coordinator and co-lecturer, since 2022.
Quantum Algorithms & Machine Learning — contributing lecturer, since 2024.
Advanced courses
Algebraic Graph Theory — a PhD course that I designed and taught in 2024, also offered as a special course for undergraduate and master's students in 2026.
Quantum Morphisms — an online graduate course taught for the University of Waterloo in summer 2021.
Topics in Quantum Nonlocality: Games, Graphs, and Applications — a forthcoming course for the joint DTU–University of Copenhagen quantum master's programme. I led its development and will teach it with two colleagues.
Research supervision
I have been the primary supervisor of one PhD student and three postdoctoral researchers at DTU, and have supervised undergraduate research projects.
PhD supervision
Prem Nigam Kar, 2022–2025.
Postdoctoral supervision
Arnbjörg Soffía Árnadóttir, 2023–2024.
Josse van Dobben de Bruyn, 2023–2025.
Peter Zeman, 2023–2025.
An undergraduate project by Christian Bo Kidmose-Frederiksen and Alfred Leth Nielsen led to their preprint Quantum n-coloring is undecidable for every n ≥ 3.
