David’s CD featuring Nikolai Kapustin's Op 53 Preludes, and Sonata No 1 (Sonata-Fantasia), released in May 2013, was described by music critics as a "deliriously joyful synthesis of jazz and classical composition" played with a "a non-academic sense of freedom" and a "dazzling technique".
