Will I receive additional information for the event?
As the dates get closer, we'll post more information about d|Bootcamp speakers and sessions. If you are confirmed as an attendee, you will receive a confirmation email with details on venue, agenda, and check in procedures.
What is the attire for the event?
Feel free to come as you are. Who are we to judge? - we wear t-shirts and jeans to work!
Do I need a laptop for the event?
You will be seated at a desktop computer, with all the necessary software loaded, but if you have a laptop, bring it along so that you can practice the exercises and download the software onto the machine that you'll be using back in the 'real world'.
Will lunch and refreshments be served?
Yes, food and beverage will be provided free of charge.
Where can I find copies of the presentations in case I can't make it to all the sessions?
We'll post presentations on the agenda pages online after the event, please check back here.
Are you charging for the d|bootcamp?
No, this is a free conference but the registration process is selective.
How can I become more involved in the data journalism developer community?
Your best bet is to join your local HacksHackers chapter. Chapters bring together journalists and developers, for monthly meetups to hear interesting speakers, learn new skills, or participate in hackathons / code sprints. Many of them have forums and discussion lists that you can join. Your participation is more than welcome!
