Tutto ebbe inizio nel 2007 sul WordWar Forum

Si tratta di un file scaricabile da usare con Google Heart per posizionare le opere militari in Italia o italiane fuori confine. Grazie al contributo di alcuni siti che partecipano e dagli stessi utenti di WorldWar è partita la prima fase del progetto. La prima versione comprende 1800 Fortificazioni posizionate e 1400 link alle nostre discussioni o a schede su questi siti.Siete tutti invitati a segnalare le posizioni delle opere che avete visitato anche se non avete realizzato foto specifiche.Tutti gli utenti autori dei post sono invitati a contribuire segnalando le loro posizioni se non ancora inserite.Come è inevitabile con una raccolta cosi vasta di dati nel file potrebbero esserci omissioni e inesattezze. Anche in questo caso siete pregati di segnalarle.

The project consists in a downloadable file to be used on Google Earth to locate military works in Italy or italian military works outside italian borders. Thanks the contribution of some web sites that cooperate to the project and to many Worldwar users the first phase of the project has started. This first version hosts 1800 fortifications and 1400 link to posts or description cards We encourage everyone to report the locations of the works you have seen or visited, even if you have not photos. All the post authors are kindly requested to contribute by reporting their positions (if they are not already in the file). We know that in such a big database there will be errors and omissions, so we kindly ask you to report any problem

La suddivisone per il Vallo alpino ( e in parte per la Linea Cadorna) segue lo schema: Settore --> Sottosettore --> Caposaldo/Sbarramento ---> OperePer le rimanenti sezioni è invece: Regione --> Provincia --> Zona di interesse --> Opere

At the moment the database is divided in the following chapters:
