Welcome to my website! I'm Pratyusha Das, an AI/ML scientist based in Seattle, USA. I currently work as an Applied Scientist at Amazon. I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the   University of Southern California(USC), where I was advised by Prof. Antonio Ortega. My research interests include signal processing, machine learning, computer vision, and vision-language model.

Before joining the PhD program, I had the privilege of working as a Researcher at TCS Research and Innovation Labs, India. I enjoyed the industry research settings contributing to industry-level innovative solutions. I also interned at Nokia Bell Labs and at Amazon Science. I find great fulfillment in working within the industry as it has a direct impact on people's everyday lives.

 I hold a Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University, During my studies, I collaborated with Prof. Amit Konar for my research thesis, further expanding my knowledge and honing my skills. My Bachelor's degree was obtained from the Institute of Engineering and Management in Kolkata.

While my passion lies in academia and research, I also find solace in various artistic pursuits. Painting, cooking, hiking, and exploring new places all captivate my interest and provide a much-needed balance to my life. Additionally, I am a devoted practitioner of yoga and meditation, incorporating these practices into my daily routine to foster mindfulness and well-being.
