AV Symposium at NC State

The department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at NC State organized a one-day symposium to explore the integration of artificial intelligence technologies and societal structures.  

The research team presentations was focused on the traffic flow and safety with the Autonomous Vehicles.


Lincoln Autonomous Vehicle Platform

Date: March 1st, 2024

A retired Lincoln MKZ Hybrid 2018 Autonomous Vehicle has been donated to the Research Lab of Dr. Danjue Chen. The vehicle has been fitted with industry-grade sensor system which allows full-scale AV deployment.

This vehicle will broaden the AV research culture at NC State by igniting diverse and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Instrumented Vehicle

The Instrumented Vehicle has been fitted with High-accuracy GPS Devices, Lidar, and Real-Time Computing Devices  to extract real-time traffic data using software.
