The Danish Society for Economic and Social History (DFØSH) awards the Nina Bang Prize to celebrate exceptional contributions to Danish economic history. Named in honour of Nina Bang, Denmark’s first female minister and a pioneering figure in the field, the prize recognizes either an outstanding master’s or PhD thesis in Danish economic history or an individual who has significantly shaped the discipline through their body of work.
Nominations are accepted from DFØSH members each year until the end of December, with the award determined by the DFØSH management committee. The prize includes a financial award of 1000 DKK and is presented at the DFØSH annual meeting, along with recognition in the Scandinavian Economic History Review.
