My name is Danish Contractor.
People commonly mistake my name to mean my designation or job role or company name etc.
No, I am not a contractor and I am not Danish - I am Indian and yes, that is really my name! :)
Here's what my name actually means :
Danish - A persian word for 'wisdom'
Contractor - Well, it is what it sounds like. The last name is because my forefathers were building contractors earlier. They built churches, universities, bridges etc - some of them still exist in a place called Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Apart from work, I enjoy reading, cycling and traveling. I also have a keen interest in Current Affairs and Foreign Relations.
I enjoy driving and it is my preferred mode of travel. (Here's an old page from a travel competition Great Driving Challenge Application- Danish)
Participating in the Raid-de-Himalaya is something I'd like to do.
My father was in the Indian Army, and over the years, I have lived in Cambridge, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Moscow, Secunderabad , Yol (near Dharamsala) and Babina (nearJhansi).
