Welcome to my page.

I am an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Groningen with research interests in empirical banking, international finance, and monetary policy. 

My research examines the effects of cross-border capital flows and (non-conventional) monetary policy on macro-financial outcomes, focusing on the transmission through banks, firms, and households. More recently, I have expanded this work to study how different types of policy shocks are transmitted internationally through non-bank financial intermediaries, especially global investment funds.
