Welcome to my page.

I am an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Groningen with research interests in empirical banking, international finance, and monetary policy. 

In most of my research, I study the effects of cross-border capital flows and (non-conventional) monetary policy on macro-financial outcomes, focusing on the transmission through banks, firms, and households. More recently, I also focus on the transmission of different types of policy shocks via non-bank financial intermediaries, in particular global investment funds.
