Daniel Micha is member of Brazilian scientific groups abroad since 2023 when he subscribed to APEB-FR, the Association of Brazilian Students and Researchers in France, and to the PUB initiative (Brazilian Researchers and Universitaries). Since then, he has been a coordinator of the PUB Paris and was the vice-president of the 2024 mandate of APEB-FR.
The goal of these groups is (1) to welcome the Brazilian scientific newcomers through the organization of events, (2) to promote the scientific work of the Brazilian scientists abroad, and (3) to empower their voice towards the Brazilian official research agencies and governement in order to fight for their rights and for more public policies that enable and ease further international cooperation between the Brazilian scientific institutions and them.
In 2024, the Brazilian scientific groups abroad, under the leadership of the APOENA group, have stablished an international articulation between these groups, making the movement even stronger and with more visibility.
