Linear Algebra 2400-FIM1AL group 7

Grading: Total score for the whole class (lecture + tutorial) will be 100 points.

This consists of up to 80 points awarded according to the results of the written final exam (which will take place at the end of the winter semester) and up to 20 points awarded during the classes. There will be no oral exam. All students regularly attending classes will be admitted to the written exam.

The remaining 20 points are divided as follows 20=3+5+(3*4), that is:

a) 3 points should reflect student's activity during classes,

b) up to 5 points can be earned for short 5-minute written test (short test/QUIZ), which should take place once every week,

c) 4*3=12 points will depend on the student's results of the three 45-minute written tests (long test/MIDTERM), which should take place on the following days: Nov 12, Dec 10 and Jan 14 (2021) during the classes. Each test should consist of 2 problems, each worth 2 points. The problems should be based on the problems 1-21, 22-38, 39-49 from the list http://www.mimuw.edu.pl/~tkozn/ALWNEcw.pdf, respectively. If a student is absent during a long test due to a sick leave, he or she should be given another opportunity to write it (but please - be honest).

The final exam will consist of 8 problems, each worth 10 points.

Points will be converted later into the final grade. A student should expect to pass the course if he/she has earned more than 50 out of 100 points. The class grade will be the same as the final grade.

Honesty: Please be honest with me, I can understand that people encounter difficult situations. The graded work you do in this class must be your own.
