My lab, The Epilepsy + Data Science Lab:
Key research interests in data science applied to epilepsy:
1. The natural variability of seizure frequency - Understanding, quantifying, predicting and ultimately controlling for this can result in safer, faster, cheaper clinical trials, and can improve clinical care models.
2. Risk stratification for sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) - Using biosensor data and data science techniques in massive datasets, identifying hidden patterns suggestive of increased risk for sudden death.
3. Seizure prediction using multimodal and non-EEG methodology
