Dance Poems
We Dance for laughter,
We dance for Tears ,
We dance for madness,
We dance for hopes,
We dance for screams,
We are dancers
We create the dreams

Dance Is Like Life
Learning to dance is like life.
You take baby steps, tiny leaps and jumps,
Someone's always there when you cry.
Things are starting to come together,
Your once new shoes are feeling softer and worn
Each delicate pointe is becoming more like an arch.
Leaps and kicks become stronger each time,
Soon you realize your every jump and kick is right,
The steps are fluid pouring out of a jar,
Everyday you're twirling into a new adventure,
Every dance you dance makes you a star.
~Michelle Lyon
Why Dancing
Dancing is an art, we may be sure, cannot die out, but will always be undergoing a rebirth. Not merely as an art, but also as a social custom, it perpetually emerges afresh from the soul of the people.
~Havelock Ellis
To Dance Is To Be Free
I dance, because dancing has always been my salvation......the ultimate freedon!
~Ghislaine Thesmar
I can't explain the feeling
When I'am leaping through the air
The world down below me,
And I not a care,
Just to dance and dance,
All day and all night .
My shoes with wings,
They put me into flight.
Every step I own,
I feel so free.
Every turn and leap,
It's all up to me.
This is a dream I cannot forget,
I exit only to dance.
To live and breathe with gracefulness,
This is my only chance.
To do just what I want to do,
I can show what the world is to me.
When I am dancing the world is free.
