My wife, Annette, and I have been married since August 12, 1995. We have been enjoying a wonderful married that has been blessed by God. Children, you ask? Well, we have two boys, Daniel and David. Our firstborn Daniel was born in Mercy Hospital on February 17, 2000 and he weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces. We have named Daniel Isaac. Daniel means "God is my judge." The Bible relates to us the life and prophesies given to Daniel the prophet. From reading the book of Daniel, we see that Daniel was a foreigner in a Godless society (Babylon). Eventhough Daniel the prophet had been chosen by the king of Babylon to be part of the royal court, Daniel stood firm in being obedient to God above the king. Daniel's charater and determination to serve God above all else are traits that Annette and I want to live, and teach to our children. Isaac means "laughter." Abraham and Sarah were promised by God to have a child at a very old age (Genesis 18:12), and at this Sarah laughed. Nevertheless, she had faith in God's promise and at the end laughed with joy at God's promised gift (Hebrews 11:11). We too had a similar experience with our firstborn. We were told be physicians that without fertility medication and treatment, Annette and I had a low probability of pregancy. We decided not proceed with treatment, and to wait on God. Well today we are laughing with joy, for God has provided and shown again, "to confound the wise." (1 Corinthians 1:27). So our firstborn we have decided to call Daniel Isaac.
Three years later we were blessed with our second boy, David Noah. King David was described as being a "man after God's own heart." We pray and desire that like King David, our David Noah will be a man after God's own heart.
Do we have pets may be another family related question. Well, the simple and "PC" answer to that is: no we do not! :-)
