Dissertation title:
Resident Attitudes toward Community Development Alternatives
This dissertation investigates how rural residents in Utah perceive their communities and future development options, revealing that their attitudes are significantly influenced by unique local economic, environmental, and social conditions. The study challenges the one-size-fits-all approach to community development, demonstrating that diverse types of rural communities demand tailored strategies, as evidenced by the varied responses of communities characterized by aging populations, energy development, recreational focus, and stability.
