This is a list of projects I'm interested in:
1. AGI (artificial general intelligence)
-- see my opensource project Genifer.
2. Book project: 50 ideas in artificial general intelligence
-- an introductory book, collective project, 3-4 pages per idea
3. Commercial analog of WikiLeaks
-- commercialization of a WikiLeaks-like site for dealing with the food safety problem in China, and possibly (air-)pollution as well
4. Improvement of the Bitcoin digital currency
-- make it less computationally costly to mint
-- make the currency price more stable
-- use distributive banking (with mirror sites at multiple geographic locations in various countries) instead of extreme distribution as is BitCoin. I believe this will still be robust enough.
-- establish banks, which use fractional reserves to lend money to people. Banks seem to be the traditional way to create currencies (learn more about banking).
-- legality is also a potential problem
5. Start a university in Hong Kong
-- there is a scarcity of R&D of tech in Hong Kong
-- the university is just a vague idea, may have other solutions
-- find out who is the least-qualified guy to ever start a university. Then try to do slightly worse than him.
6. Book scanner camera box
-- prototype will be ready soon
7. Camera eyes for remotely controlled robots (pic)
-- signals transmitted via radio frequency
-- can potentially be part of a distributive weapon
8. Artificial blood
-- seems to me a relatively more cost-effective path to life extension
-- another option is stem cells for neuronal implants. This has short-term applications for various brain / neural diseases.
It doesn't mean I'd spend equal amounts of time on all of them, if at all. What I need are partners who can offer complementary skills. Feel free to contact me if you're interested in any of these ideas!
