About DAMS

History

The California Water Environment Association Desert and Mountain Section (CWEA DAMS) was founded on the principles of sharing best practices, technical advances, and camaraderie across the wide range of practices in our industry. Our Wastewater professionals working for municipalities throughout the High Desert of Southern California are responsible for the wastewater you generate every day. We receive it from your home ,business or workplace, treat it, and return it to the environment for future use.The CWEA DAMS is located (See Map) in Southern California and represents: Inyo County plus portions of San Bernardino, and Mono Counties in the Southern Lahontan Region of the SWRCB. (Big Bear, Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, are within the Desert and Mountain Boundaries). This section is dedicated to keeping its membership current on wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal practices. CWEA is a statewide organization for wastewater professionals and has over 10000 members in 17 local sections.
