Welcome to Camberley U3A Astronomy Group

This photograph of the January 2019 Blood Moon was taken by John Axtell of Woking U3A Astronomy group, who has kindly given permission for me to use it here. John says "We had heavy cloud with occasional thinner patches. This is best I could get. Copper colour washed out somewhat by cloud. Taken with Canon DSLR mounted on 90mm refractor."
Astronomy is the branch of science which deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole. This friendly and interactive group discusses Astronomy, Cosmology, Astrophysics and Astrobiology topics, news and events. In addition, external speakers and group members give talks on related subjects - recent examples include Galaxies and the Milky Way, Space Weather, Newtonian Cosmology and Space Exploration Missions.
