Pinewood Derby

The pinewood derby is a racing event for unpowered, unmanned miniature cars. With the help of adults, Cub Scouts build their own cars from wood, from a kit containing a block of pinewood, plastic wheels, and metal axles (nails).

Rules for the design of the car for both the Pack as well as the district can be found here.

Cub Scout Pack 199's Pinewood Derby typically takes place annually at the end of January. The 2019 Pinewood derby was scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019.
