Class participation and lecture notes are required and accounts for 20% of your final grade. This is comprised of two elements:
Lecture Participation
● The instructor will call your name during the lecture to read different slides of the presentation.
● This is a general idea of how points are given for actively participating in the session:
● Students receive 5 class participation points for showing up and staying till they have completed all assignments required for that class session.
● Students receive another 5 points for getting to class on or before the class start time
● Students receive another 5 points by reading a slide(s) when called on.
● Students receive another 5 points for volunteering to read slides.
● Students receive another 5 points for keeping their camera on at all times
● Students who do not report to the lecture section receive no points.
Lecture Notes
● You can use your computer or laptop to take notes on each lecture.
● At the end of the lecture, you will submit these notes to the instructor for 10 points.
● Notes submitted after the deadline day that was established for that lecture was covered will get half credit.
● You can copy and paste from the presentation in creating your notes, however:
o Those notes must provide a comprehensive and detailed reflection of the lecture presentation to get full credit.
o Simple outlines, summaries, or copies of slides will get half credit.
