To be considered an "active" CSF member you should aim to reach a total of 15 points per semester. You cannot double dip service hours with other clubs like Key Club, NHS, etc. However, double dipping with programs like MCJROTC and CJA is allowed. What is double dipping? This is when you attempt to get points for the same event from multiple clubs/programs.
CSF offers special titles to students who achieve certain amounts of points before graduation, earning these titles gets you free graduation gear (stoles, cords, tassles etc.).
Earning an average of 15 points per semester makes it so you are on track to achieving these titles! However, we "roll points", meaning that if you were to obtain 12 points one semester and 17 another, you would still be considered "active" since you made up for your missing points! The ultimate goal is to be consistent with your points.
CSF Life Member - 4 active semesters & 60 point total
Pin, cord, & tassel
CSF 100% Life Member - 6 active semesters & 90 point total
Pin, cord, tassel, & stole
This is not the only way to obtain a total of 15 points, but is what we suggest to reach that total!
Attend 3 general meetings (1 point per meeting)
Pay dues (1 point)
Volunteer & donate, to reach a total of 11 points (1 point per hour, points for donation items vary depending on the drive). - Service events are not limited to the ones we provide, you can attend other ones, which we consider "outside events" and get outside hours for them. These hours will contribute to the 11 service points. However, keep in mind every outside hour after 5 hours is counted as 0.5 points instead of 1.
Outside Hours Opportunities:
Print this form and bring it to any "outside events" you attend! Make sure to submit it to Mr. Lam in T5.
