The Crosby Historical Society's purpose is to preserve and promote the history, culture and artifacts of the area for future generations.
We are a group of citizens concerned with the preservation of Crosby-Huffman history. We meet quarterly at the Crosby Brethren Church, 5202 First Street at Church Street, Crosby, Texas.
We photograph and tape our older citizens talking about the early history of our area. Citizens are given an oppotunity at our meetings to share stories, artifacts/relics, and pictures. Guest speakers have been brought in on occasion. The group organizes field trips to local historical sites and we are presently trying to preserve and protect our historical cemeteries with historical markers. Participation and attendance is open to everyone.

There are two ways to buy a book: send a check or use a credit card. Checks must be made to the Crosby Historical Society and mailed to Donna Davenport, 5510 Avenue D, Crosby, TX 77532. For credit card purchase call Donna Davenport at 281-731-7010.
We ordered 60 extra softbound books for this past printing. We have already pre-sold 21 of those books which means there are 39 more books available. These books are being sold on a "first come - first pay basis." If you miss this printing, hopefully, we will be ordering another 100 books with our sponsor funds in the near future, but please be aware that the next order will take anywhere from 6-8 weeks once the order is placed.
Hardbound books are printed at any time and the turn around time is about 3-4 weeks.

If you need it mailed to you add an extra $10.00 to equal $135 per book.

We use Square to collect for credit cards. FYI -we pass along the fees to the buyer.
-Softbound books cost is $125 + fees of $5 for a total cost of $130.
