Cricket's Ledge Memorial Dive
We went on a SCUBA dive May 24, 2013 in honor of Cricket. We normally spearfish or collect fossils during our dives. However, this dive was solely to remember Cricket and take pictures and video. Please share the experience with me by watching this brief video.
Memories of Cricket
I have made a Disk entitled "Memories of Cricket". It contains nearly a thousand pictures of Cricket and a handful of videos. It can be viewed using a computer and many DVD players. It is available for free to all family members and friends who would like a copy. Just ask and I will see that you get a copy.
Memorial Brick at Mote Marine Laboratory
I made a donation in honor of Cricket. Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium installed a memorial brick with the inscription that I requested.
Cricket loved everything to do with the water and its inhabitants. I believe that she always considered herself to be one of those inhabitants. She was fond of the Aquarium and of Mote Marine Laboratory itself. We both considered their work to be important to our successful coexistence with the marine environment.
I do not know what the future holds for me. However, there is at least one thing that is certain... and I have written it in stone.
Fountain at Entrance of Aquarium
This is the fountain which is located in front of the Mote Marine Laboratory Aquarium. Cricket's memorial brick is located near the front right corner of the fountain. I requested that the brick be put near this fountain so that anyone who wanted to see it could do so without having to purchase a ticket to the Aquarium to view it.
While you are there, I would encourage you to visit the Aquarium. Your admission fee not only supports the Aquarium, but also the valuable work being done by Mote Marine Laboratory.
Location of Memorial Brick
This picture shows the exact location of Cricket's memorial brick to make it easy to find if you want to see it in person.
Luminary Bags
These are bags which were made by Monica, Steve, and Kayla Tomory for American Cancer Society Relay for Life luminary events. Candles are lit in all the luminary bags at night. These bags represent donations to cancer research and support made in honor of the memory of Cricket. To learn more, visit the ACS website. Consider "Dedicating a Luminary" in honor of Cricket. Select the TEAM named TOMORY for your donation. I have done this for several luminary events already.
