When you join Capital Region Education Council Education Association(CREC-EA,) you are involved on three different levels of membership:
CREC Education Association Your most immediate contact for getting professional support is your local association. CREC-EA compromises you and your colleagues from CREC and deals with your administration.
Connecticut Education Association (CEA) In every state, there is a group that advances the cause of public education and works to improve the pay, benefits, and respect, for member educators. That's the state association. It lobbies the state legislature for education funding and other issues that affect you as a calssroom.

National Education Association (NEA)Like the state association, the National Education Association works on improving working conditions and salaries for teachers and support professionals through advocacy and research.
