Application instructions for Returning Members:   

In late March, the Beach Committee will send you (via e-mail) an invoice pre-filled with your 2025 fees based on your 2024 membership.  To make changes, write to beachcommittee@gmail.com (or to the office via U.S. mail), and you will receive an updated invoice.

The deadline for mailing forms and fees is May 15, 2025.  Any application postmarked after the deadline will incur a late fee of $50.  If the deadline is not met, your bathhouse may be given to a member on the waiting list.

All fees are due with the application form.  Applications without payment in full or without a signature will not be accepted.

Membership rules:

a)  Weekly memberships - New weekly memberships are no longer available.  On-going weekly memberships will continue until that particular membership is not renewed.  New monthly memberships may be available at the Beach Committee's discretion.

b)  Membership type "Family" - refers to immediate family only  --  parent(s) and child(ren).  It includes single children 24 years old or under as of May 1, 2025.  "Family" does not include grandparents, siblings, au pairs, nannies or babysitters, regardless of living arrangements.  Every person other than parents and their single children 24 years old or under must sign in as a guest.

c)  Initiation fees - New members are subject to an initiation fee of $2500.  For Legacy members who are 25 or over but no older than 29 (who were on their parents' Family membership as a child), the initiation fee is $1250.  You may pay your initiation fee in one lump sum or in two consecutive equal annual installments.

d)  Senior memberships - Anyone who has been a member for 25 years and is 80 years of age or older (as of May 1, 2025) is eligible for a discount of 20% for membership dues only.  (There is no discount for bathhouse or parking fees.)

e)  Sustaining members - You may sustain your membership (i.e., put it on hold) for a fee of $200 per year.  Sustaining members may not have guests, nor may they visit CBA except as guests of an active member.  If you choose to sustain your membership, you may hold your bathhouse for a fee of $125.  If you choose not to hold your bathhouse, it will be allocated to an active member on the bathhouse wait list, and you will need to reapply for a bathhouse when you return to active membership.

f)  Guest limits and fees - Members' adult children aged 25 years or older, extended family, house guests, nannies and others are welcome as guests.  The number of guest passes for each membership is limited to 30 guests in the month of July (beginning June 21) and 30 guests in the month of August (through Sept. 1).  The guest fee is $10 per guest per day on weekdays and $15 per guest per day on weekends/holidays; the 2025 holiday is Friday, July 4.  All guests must be signed in at the front desk upon arrival.  Children of all ages, unless they are part of the Family membership, must sign in as guests.  A late fee will apply to guest, parking and umbrella rental fees not postmarked by October 1, 2025. 

Beach rules:

 1.  All guests must be registered at the office upon arrival.

 2.  All cars must be parked in a marked space with CBA parking tag displayed.

 3.  Guest parking is available for guests of parking tag holders.  All guest-parked cars must park in the lot, not in the beachside area. 

 4.  The beach entrance is to be used for quick pick up or drop off only.

 5.  Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult while in the facility.

 6.  Use of umbrellas and flotation devices will be determined by beach staff based on weather conditions.

 7.  Any type of ball playing, Frisbee or similar activity is allowed only in the area in front of the Snack Bar. 

 8.  No dogs are allowed on the beach.

 9.  Do not feed the seagulls.

10. No kite flying from 9am to 5pm.

11. No running on the boardwalk, climbing on the railings, or crawling under the boardwalk or bathhouses.

12. No roughhousing on, flipping off of, jumping off the back of, or swimming under the rafts.

13. No profanity, vandalism or loud music will be tolerated on the premises.

14. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the beach, and no smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises.

15. No fires or fireworks of any kind are allowed on the premises.

16. Tents over 36" and large shade structures should be set up near the back of the beach.

17. No boat, paddleboard or other equipment may be stored on the racks without manager's permission and payment of rental fee.

18. No boat or other equipment may be stored on the sand.  CBA cannot accommodate larger boats or those with fixed masts.
