Transposed from my Dad's text to me,
Bored at work so I counted all the dirt bikes, ATV and street bikes. He had a total of 20, Mom had 7, I had 18 and Kristy had 3. A total of 47 bikes and ATV's of the bikes that he "bought for Mom, he races 3 of them. No wonder we miss riding.
Over 25 years we averaged 2 new bikes per year. Where did our money go? He didn't want to also add purchase prices of the gear, accessories, tires, RV;s, trailers, trucks, gas, meals while traveling, entry fees, etc.
We spent over $200,000 buying bikes over the years, $150,000 on motorhomes, $75,000 on trucks and $20,000 on trailers.
After my Dad told me this he said "We do we have to show for all of that money sent?" my response was "All that time and money gave me the tools that I needed when it came time for me to fight for my life. By treating my cancer like one of my races, I had to just focus on the obstacles in front of me and let the rest come to me as they come.
In order to make our bikes different we used 'man overboard flags on our whips.
Separate from what my dad had listed above, my ex-wife and I bought this 1999 Weekend Warrior FK1800 that was small enough for my Dakota to tow with the 2 quads inside.
2002 Raptor and 2000 Banshee
My 1995 KTM 250exc that I raced all through my high school years
Jumping down a bowl at Glamis sometime around 2002 on my dad's 450 Banshee.
Taken at Pismo Beach on a 3 wheeler with me in from of my sister on our dad's back.
