Season 13 Apr Event

The SlimTimidator Farrell with the miracle run to win the April World Poker Tour Championship. Once down to $1500, he rallies to hold off Paul Yattie Yattaw and Mike Royal Flush Debrino. Edgar and Kelly with good efforts to round out the top 5. Tim is our 8th different winner in 8 months. 31 of our 36 players have hit the board so far. Parity has reached our league.

Big shakeup in the individual standings. Joel is still in first, but Paul jumps into 2nd with his 3rd podium finish in the past 5 events. Kelly slides up to 3rd with a valiant defense of his March championship run. Spuls and Steve are 4th and 5th. In his last few events, Paul has gone 30th (out of 30), 3rd, 1st, 32nd (out of 32) and 2nd. Not exactly a model of consistency, but effective.

Things have tightened up considerably and with Joel most likely out for the May event, there are 5 men who could pass him with a win next month. The 4 previously listed, along with Bruce could all take over 1st next month with a win. These 6 are the leaders in the clubhouse for the vaunted Team Captains for the 2026-27 poker season, but a lot can change in the final 2 events.

Anyone in the top 21 still has a chance to claim the championship for the 25-26 league with 2 victories in May/June. If you're 22nd or lower, you can set your sights on next year.

As for the teams, Team Miller extends their lead after going 1-2 last night. Very tight battle for 2nd among Teams Conklin, Hyland and Noel, separated by only 7 points. Team Lee and Team Matura need a big stretch run or start looking at being put out to stud.
