cpalego's musical consciousness and taste have essentially developed when he was a teenager in the early nineties. This means that, while being sensitive and in awe of mainstream influences including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan, cpalego's soul is irreparably permeated by Grunge, which was popular back in those years.

Grunge is a particular kind of alternative rock originated in the Seattle area, whose main characteristic is arguably a mixture of harsh, bare or acid sound and sudden eruptions of melody, or a sort of oblique sweetness. For a number of youngsters, Grunge music soon established itself as the everyday soundtrack of their teenagers discomfort, a form of indemnification for being born 2 decades after Woodstock and technically belonging to Britney Spears' generation.
