Welcome to
Spectral Analysis
of Stock Prices!
I am the site owner, Atsufumi Ichinoseki. This website shows how spectral analysis extracts trends from random stock price fluctuations. This site is also designed to complement my Japanese sites, Approximations of Stock Prices and Simulations of Stock Prices. The latter two sites approximate random price motion, giving it the sense of direction, whereas this site goes further on to predict the cyclical trend of stock prices.
My new Japanese site is “Spectral Analysis of Stock Indices, ” which specializes in the Nikkei 225 stock index and the foreign exchange rates.
When I started examining the stock price approximation by its spectrum and posting the results in this site back in 2009, I immediately recognized the great potential of the spectral analysis. Since then, it has become increasingly clear that the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics is the key to the deeper understanding of the nature of the random stock price fluctuation. As the title, “Spectral Analysis of Stock Prices,” became quite inappropriate, I decided to terminate this site by transferring some of the graphs to my new website. The improved graphs are also added. So, come visit my new site, “Trend under Uncertainty Principle.”
