Kathy Countryman and her husband, Rick, have owned and operated Countryman Stables on beautiful Bainbridge Island since 1981.
For over 30 years Kathy has taught all aspects of horsemanship, from grooming and riding fundamentals, to hunter & jumper show training.
For over three decades Kathy has been deeply involved in the equine community in Kitsap County and has become one of the area's most respected teachers and trainers.
Kathy 's endless patience and nurturing manner make her an ideal teacher for young riders.
Under Kathy's instruction riders develop confidence and skills that last a lifetime.
Katie Countryman-Starks has been training horses and teaching riders of all ages and levels for over 12 years.The daughter of Rick & Kathy Countryman, Katie has grown up around horses and has been riding all her life. She is an accomplished trainer with a highly intuitive approach with both horse and rider. Katie excels at show training and is now accepting new clients.
