'Well welcome to your website, well not really if its Ewebguru!'
We're about to head into shyster territory here....the site that has only your money in mind, and taking it.
It's hard to believe that a web host can take your cash and breach consumer laws by not carrying out its obligations to deliver a service it offers through its online sales page. But EWEBGURU have a program that insists on a year's rental being paid for web space, and does not provide it.
We actually discovered they left a client/customer high and dry with no customer support at all. The account had been suspended with no notification to the client, they had the money, so what did they care?
They ignored all e-mails and disrupted the client's affairs putting in 'maximum effort' to make things impossible. The customer, eventually, with a bit of help from PayPal found the reason to be ridiculous and hard to believe....Webguru claimed it related to IP address problems, but never compensated the client at all, despite having got a year's fee and only providing six months. In reality this was theft, but how do you take a company like this to court? most of them are in America, and the legal system is in their favour, one has to launch a case in their territory! Such is the land of the free and Just. Luckily the wronged client went elsewhere to seek a 'reliable' host, which there is only a few. These hosts play by their own rules, which are subject to change whenever they feel like it.... so beware!
We have yet another complaint against this webhost, found on the Internet, and not seen on their forum which appears to be 'doctored' or selective one could say. Mr C. tells us they messed up his website totally, and after 9 days he was still unable to operate or upload the C-Panel, despite being able to get in on the sign-in. He learned after a long while that they had changed the password without the customer's authorisation (which is often the last consideration).
They ignored his requests, fobbed him off, and the technical staff lied more than once in the fiasco that was like an epic series. Mr C. remained quite calm, but the stress eventually put too much pressure on him. So he made a request via e-mail three times to speak to someone higher in the company, but this was completely ignored, which seems to be the usual gameplay with these companies.
They actually run a line in their sales page 'WE LIKE TO HEAR FROM OUR CUSTOMERS' which couldn't be further from reality or the truth.
EWEBGURU DID NOT RESPOND TO CUSTOMER WHO COMPLAINED --- Customer Dhatchina Moorthy was without service for 8 months, and Ewebguru just ignored him. The so-called Technical Support did not respond, and when he tried to complain about the service, the Department that handled it did not get in touch with either and left him hanging in mid-air. One of many complaints like this....the usual Ewebguru response to anyone who wasn't satisfied.
It is known that Ewebguru hire or contract the services of WIRED TREE.COM an American company who do their dirty work so-to-speak -- stonewalling as the Americans call it. But it doesn't work the other way around, WIRED TREE. COM have no thoughts or consideration for the client who is abused by its contractor, and merely pretend it has nothing to do with them, yet take finance from Ewebguru to act as 'bouncers' on the door. Apparently they won't talk to anyone outside of their client about what they really do.... so I guess its pay your pieces of silver, and you can have the result you paid for.
We have found many complaints on Ewebguru littering the Web, and probably unseen by new customers of this company, who undoubtedly feel safe to ignore them and sell, host, space to unsuspecting clients who fall for their sales pitch. Luckily we are here to grab some of these complaints and keep them together in one place.
REFUNDS? -- well, wronged customers don't actually get anything. What they do get is messages telling them they have not taken up the renewal? Quite a bitter joke really, and only Ewebguru could do that, unless you out there can name some of the others.
COURT ACTION? we have got a whiff of a $500,000 U.S. Court Lawsuit alleging breach of contract. Sadly due to be heard in about two years time! Is this another legal diversion these webhosts use to prevent client power? On reading some of their conditions this seems to be evident, and lastly in regard to this case, there has been an attempt by lawyers and officials at Webguru to derail any case? according to a whistleblower. Now there's the real answer to this here, and we go back to the jurisdiction dilemma!
