More About Stella...

A Family Heirloom

Stella has been in our family since she was built in 1977. She has always been wintered ashore and lightly used. The same applies to the engine - a Yanmar IGM10 - which was installed in 2001 and fully serviced in July this year. Her standing and running rigging is in good working order, and all varnish work has been renewed this year. All spars were stripped and Deks Oljed this year also.

Customised and Improved

Over the years we have modified Stella to make her more manageable and fit for sailing single handed, or with a very small crew. These improvements are as follows -

• Custom-built cockpit rope fall lockers
• Running backstays
• Lazy jacks
• Custom self-draining stern lazarette
• Copper gas piping from stern lazarette to cooker
