Q: What time(s) are CE class?

A: All classes are schedule from 9am to 6pm, unless otherwise stated.

Q: How many credits do I receive for attending a course?

A: All courses are 8 continuing education hours, unless otherwise stated (i.e. 2-day course is 16 credits)

Q: When is the deadline to register for each class:

A: All registrations must be completed one-week prior to the date of the course. Note, classes may fill up prior to the deadline with a maximum capacity of 30 attendees per course.

Q: When will I receive my certificate?

A: The instructor will either pass them out at the end of the class or mail them to the Regional Office, and a copy will be mailed to the Massage Therapist's clinic. If practical evaluations are required for Hot Stone, they must be submitted to Alicia or Justin for verification before you may receive certification.

Q: How can I get a certificate from a previous class?

A: You may always access certificates via the NC Drop Box file: NC Drop Box--> Certificates. If you do not see the one you're looking for please Contact Us and we will get it for you as soon as possible.

Q: How much does it cost to attend a continuing education course?

A: For Massage Envy Employees, courses are free of charge as long as the employee remains with the company for the equivalent of 3 months or 390 hours and performs the modalities that the employee receives certification in. For Non-Massage Envy affiliated attendees, the cost is $75 per 8-hour course and payment must be received prior to the date of the course.

Q: What happens if I'm registered and cannot attend the class?

A: Once registered, you are responsible for the space reserved. If you "no show", you may be charged for the fee of the course incurred by the clinic. If you cannot attend due to extenuating circumstances, this may be taken into consideration. You may also find an alternate to take your spot by contacting us and letting us know of the name change prior to the date of the course.

Q: When registering for a course, should I put the name I go by, or my legal name?

A: Register with the name you're registered with the NC Board of Massage Bodywork & Therapy for certification purposes.

Q: When will the location for the class be posted?

A: As soon as possible, but a lot of venues won't commit to the space until one-month out prior to the date. Please check back for updated information.

Q: Can I attend half the course and get half credit?

A: No

Q: What do I do if I want to attend and the class if full?

A: We will maintain an "alternates" list if space becomes available. Send a comment or Contact Us with your information and we will put you on the list as an alternate and contact you space becomes available.
