Charter for the

Company of the Clewe

Before King Dietrich and Queen Thora do we come humbly begging that by law and by the right of Your Most Powerful Majesty the Company of the Clewe be recognized as a Guild of Atlantia by royal charter.

Let the articles of the charter be these:

The purpose of the Company shall be to create, to teach and to research the art of knitting through all of our period.

All members of the Company will be encouraged to communicate their skill and love of the art to others by teaching classes and by competing in competitions and by studying historical artifacts and by making many very beautiful things.

The Company shall be administered by a leader with assistants either defined in the By-Laws or chosen by the leader from the membres.

The only conditions for entering the Company will be an interest in the art of knitting and also a letter written to the leader of the Company.

We, King Dietrich and Queen Thora, proclaim to all that we through this royal charter recognize the Company of the Clewe and confirm it as a Guild of Atlantia.
