The CHS PTO is a 501(c)3 organization. Sometimes we fundraise, but our primary sources of revenue are donations (usually given at the beginning of the year, but gratefully accepted any time) and grocery give-back programs. To make a tax deductible donation to one or more of our programs via check, PayPal, bank account or credit card, please follow the links below. If you contribute by check, put your student's name on the Memo line and send to: CHS PTO, 401 N. Division St., Ann Arbor, MI 48104. (Your cancelled check is your tax receipt.)
PTO Donations. The PTO funds many experiences and initiatives to enhance student life at Community. We provide support for the Welcome Picnic, a small stipend for both the Fall and Spring Forum Days, the prom, meals for teachers during busy conference days, other school events, and more. We ask each Community family to support the General fund and Village Fund if they are able.
Per-Student Annual Donation ($50 per student requested) This goes towards the annual programs listed above as well as mini grants that fund innovative projects to purchase items for staff, classrooms, and the entire school. We also offer a professional development program to help fund staff to attend or present at conferences and meetings.
The Village Fund The Village Fund was established to assist students in financial need who require help paying for Forum Days and the many other extracurricular activities that make Community unique. Donations help students and families in crisis, providing financial assistance with necessary items. Disbursements from this fund are made confidentially at the request of the Dean's office.
Grocery Rewards
Grocery rewards sends a portion of every dollar you spend at Kroger, Busch's, or Arbor Farms directly back to the CHS PTO. With Arbor Farms, simply tell the cashier you'd like to support CHS.
