INTRODUCTION

These pages reflect the personal astronomical interests and activitiesof Rex I. De Silva; comet chaser, meteorite hunter and recreational astronomer since 1968. He observes from Dampe, Sri Lanka (USNO Station Code SXT 94). His activities include observation of lunar occultations, solar activity, meteors, comets, variable stars etc. In the 1970s and early 1980s he observed and recorded Lunar Occultations for Britain's Royal Greenwich Observatory (RGO) and the United States Naval Observatory (USNO). Currently, his primary interest is observing and imaging solar activity and dynamic astronomical phenomena.
