If you see us around school, please say hi!
2026 - 2027 Board Members
President
Autumn Fishel
2026-2028
Hi! I'm Autumn, mom to Lillianna in third grade and bonus mom to Remi in Pre-K.
Professionally, I have a background in financial management and operations and currently serve as the Executive Director of a local nonprofit that helps bridge the gap in affordable housing.
To me, the PTA isn't just about meetings or fundraising, it's about creating the moments our kids will remember years from now. The movie nights, family events, celebrations, smiling teachers who feel appreciated, and the little extras that make Columbine Hills feel like more than just a school. It takes a village, and I wanted to be part of that village.
When I'm not working or chasing kids around, you'll usually find me camping, at a concert, or escaping to our little piece of heaven in Texas with my family.
I'm excited to meet more CHE families, support our incredible teachers and staff, and help make this an unforgettable year for our Colts. I hope you'll join us! Every little bit makes a difference, and together we can do some pretty amazing things for our kids.
Go Colts! 💙
Vice-President
McKenna Herling
2026-2028
Hi! I’m McKenna, mom to first graders (and twins) Leo and Aurora. I am originally from southern California but after completing my Master of Social Work at USC, I convinced my Chicago-native husband to head to Colorado for a new adventure. We eventually settled here in Littleton and now I cannot imagine ever leaving. When I am not busy with my kiddos, I love crafting, writing, escaping to the mountains, quality time with my people and our pit bull mix, Bonnie.
I joined the PTA because I have always valued education and felt an immense gratitude for educators. Growing up, my dad was PTA president every year that I was in elementary school and I like to think I’d be making him proud. Our family opted in to attend CHE so my son could benefit from the wonderful ASD program. Seeing my own children thrive at CHE has only strengthened my desire to give back to our school and community.
Treasurer
Brooke Silverthorn
2026-2028
Hi! I’m Brooke Silverthorn, and I’m proud to serve as the Treasurer of our CHE's PTA. I’m the parent of Avery, who is in 3rd grade and I joined the PTA to help strengthen the connection between home and school and to support our students, teachers, and staff however I can.
With a background in the legal field, I bring organizational skills and communication to my role and am passionate about building a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all families.
Being part of the PTA has been a rewarding way to stay involved, give back, and work alongside an amazing team of parents and educators. I look forward to continuing to serve our school community and encourage all families to get involved—you can make a big difference!
Secretary
Mistina Sandoval
2026-2028
Hello, my name is Mistina, my daughter’s name is Jahanna, she is in 2nd grade. This is my first year in PTA and I am so excited to serve the teachers, kiddos, and parents at CHE. I work for a wonderful company that fits my needs and allows me to partake in PTA. As a single parent, the support I receive from work is a huge blessing. I am a Colorado native and love the springtime weather. In my spare time I love to serve my church family and give back to others in need. We have two fur babies: a rabbit named Carrot and an adorable dog Harlie. I am so thankful for this opportunity and cannot wait to connect with you all.
Board-At-Large:
Mesha Wells
2025-2026
Hi, I’m Mesha! My husband and I are Coloradans with three rescue dogs and two kiddos that happily attend CHE (the kids, not the dogs). My mixed background is in Early Childhood Education and real estate. In addition to family and friends, concerts, witty banter, and word searches warm my ticker. I am excited to partake in the continued efforts to support our school!
