   The songs of '77 are constructed with perfect economy. The style of strict instrumentation implemented with Byrne's panicky vocals shows the heart of the band's neuroses. We fall within a firm and efficient system, but at the price of our sanity. Anxiety and nervousness prevails over the perfectionist, as Byrne definitely was.
