   Shortly after getting dropped by their label, Slowdive (who were now just Halstead, Goswell, and McCutcheon) began to record dreamy country-rock and chamber-folk music, and signed to 4AD under the new name Mojave 3. 

   Mojave 3's debut was Ask Me Tomorrow. 

   Rachel Goswell's Waves are Universal delivered lush country/folk arrangements similar to artists like Sarah McLachlan, but with some sprinkled psychedelic influences leftover from Mojave 3, resembling Mazzy Star with less emphasis on high-reverb vocals.
