We're Only In It For the Money is yet another masterpiece from the Mothers, possibly their best, as Zappa showcases his jaw-dropping skills in musique-concrete and sound collage as well as an impressive array of pop-rock melodies, replete with some of his funniest lyrics.
Thorsten Schutte's Eat That Question was mostly a compilation of interviews edited smoothly into a 90-minute examination of Zappa's most insightful philosophies. Frank's terse eloquence help each topic of discussion move along, hence interest rarely has any time to dwindle. The best quote in the film is his practical look on the freedom in artistic composition: "Anything at anytime, anyplace, for no reason at all."
