Greeting to the members of CCAE/GAE Local,

I am humbled and honored to be assuming the role as your President of the Colquitt County Association of Educators for the 2020-2022 term.

I am proud of the members and leader’s commitment to the organization and for all of their achievements along the way. The growth of CCAE/GAE Local has excelled because of the hard work of our members. I look forward to working with you and fulfilling the overall mission of the organization. 2020 has presented us with some challenges. Having to learn to live through a pandemic while trying to offer the best educational opportunities and resources has been a challenge for everyone. Working through this has shown our strength as people and brought out the best in all of us.

I encourage everyone to become part of the best educator’s association in the county, state, and nation. Becoming a member grants you membership into three organizations, CCAE, GAE, and NEA.

The Colquitt County Association of Educators (CCAE) gives you representation on the local level advocating for education. “The Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) represents members within the state legislature and state agencies on educational issues, and provides an extensive benefit packages for its members” (GAE Website). “The National Education Association (NEA) is the nation's largest professional employee organization. NEA is committed to advancing the cause of public education (NEA Website).

As president I will promote the rights and welfare of learners from pre-k through 12^th grade. I will strengthen the capability of CCAE/GAE/NEA to attract and serve members in all membership categories. I will assist in educating and empower our members. Most importantly I will diligently work to make sure CCAE is striving to be “THE FACES ON THE FRONT LINE” of education.
