Quick Facts about the Colorado High School Ski League
We are a group of teams from high schools around Colorado that put on alpine and nordic races each winter.
Only skiers who are members of these teams may compete in our races. We cannot allow independent racers.
We are associated with CHSAA, so any athlete, coach, or team in our league must follow CHSAA rules.
Our league is only nordic and alpine racing. There are no snowboard, telemark, or other competitions.

According to CHSAA rules, a high school student who attends a school without a ski program may compete for a school in his or her district that has a team. If there are no schools in the student's district, the skier may compete for whichever school is closest to the student's home. For many Denver area families, that means competing for Evergreen High School. Please contact the athletic department at whichever school is closest to your home if you would like more information.
The Colorado High School Ski League (CHSSL) will work to provide services, opportunities and leadership necessary to establish and maintain safe, quality interscholastic skiing programs. The coaches, administrators and staff of the league, which work with schools throughout the state of Colorado and the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), believe in the equal worth and dignity of all students. CHSSL is responsible for establishing a climate that will promote the growth of skiing as a sport by:
A. providing students who have the desire to engage in competitive skiing with the coaching and camaraderie that will help them achieve both competitive and non-competitive skiing goals in a safe and enjoyable manner;
B. developing an awareness of what it is to be an amateur athlete that is both gracious and respectful to the community;
C. creating an environment in which they may discover new friendships and find role models;
D. guiding students towards learning new skills and disciplines;
E. and promoting the value of skiing to our community as a lifelong recreational activity and a competitive sport.
