I am a Ph.D. Candidate at West Virginia University with an anticipated graduation date of August, 2019. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics at the College of Charleston and my Master's Degree in Economics at West Virginia University.
I conduct research in the field of applied microeconomics with particular emphasis on health, regional and public economics. I recently completed research examining the impact of changes in socioeconomic status on obesity prevalence. That paper is now under review. My next project will analyze a unique, individual-level dataset related to opioid overdose deaths in the state of West Virginia.
I will make my next research presentation at the 65th Annual North American Meeting of the Regional Science Association (NARSC) in San Antonio, Texas in early November, 2018.
I am currently on the job market and will be attending the AEA/ASSA meetings in Atlanta where I will be available for interviews.
