I am a Ph.D. Candidate at West Virginia University with an anticipated graduation date of June, 2019. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics at the College of Charleston and my Master's Degree in Economics at West Virginia University.
I conduct research in the field of applied microeconomics with particular emphasis on health, regional and public economics. I recently completed research examining the impact of changes in socioeconomic status on obesity prevalence and have begun analyzing a unique, individual-level dataset related to opioid overdose deaths in the state of West Virginia.
I will make my next research presentation at the 58th Annual Meeting of the Southern Regional Science Association in Washington, DC in April, 2019.
